It is 0155h on the day of our departure. I am online now, and as I browse through my contacts, I see Ian and Belmond online.
A quick check reveals to me that Ian busy debating with his mother for placing his day-pack in his backpack and against wearing it in front of him. On the other hand, Belmond has just commenced packing. On my side, I have just finished zipping up my bag and settling my financial accounts for the trip. Better to bring more money than less money, my aunt quips.
I have to thank my mother and sister for helping me out with my packing - telling me what to bring and what not - giving me numerous repetitive advice on being street smart, guiding me on how I should arrange my belongings, so on and so forth.
I am all packed and ready, and all that is left to do is to wait for time to pass. What better way to pass time than to sleep, really?
