Backpacker's Guide to the Universe

We just spent our first night in Hanoi. Amazingly, Ian woke up first. Belmond thought that he was dreaming.

Temperature here is pretty cool. And Ian says that his friend could take us around town. That is definitely a welcome change from wondering around as a stranger in a strange land.

I just washed some of my clothes. I try to wash all my clothes myself as far as possible, to stretch each cent and dollar. I did send 1kg of clothes for laundry in Ho Chi Minh City though, because my clothes were quite soiled from driving a buggy through some water obstacle along the track multiple times.

Food here is really good and really interesting, but I am missing my usual Singapore fare. Missing Chendol, my favourite dessert, especially. Surprisingly, I am probably gaining weight here, since I am living such a passive lifestyle. Not exercising much here.

Time to explore Hanoi!
